Connect to Instruments
The Keysight Instrument Discovery Service auto-discovers instruments that are physically connected to your computer or are connected via your local LAN subnet, and automatically adds them to the PathWave instrument list. In some cases, however, you may need to manually add instruments to your configuration. For more information on connecting instruments, see Troubleshoot Instrument Connections.
From the Oscilloscope application, click the "Instrument" drop-down to view the list of available instruments. Hover your mouse over the instrument that you want to connect and then click the (Connect Instrument) icon. The instrument that is available for use and successfully connected is indicated with a green check mark.
To refresh the list of instruments, click the icon.
Once connected, the instrument's model number is displayed. Hover your mouse over the model number to display the instrument's interface address as shown below.
To disconnect the currently-connected instrument, click the (Disconnect Instrument) icon. To connect to a different instrument, select the desired instrument from the "Instrument" drop-down list next to the model number and then click the
(Connect Instrument) icon. The current instrument will be disconnected before connecting to the new instrument.
Connection Status
The connection status of the instrument is indicated with an icon beside its model number as shown below.
